Our Story: from Superfood Bar to Super Sauce
Hi! We’re Joseph and Eva, the founders of Superfood Bar Co.
Joseph grew up in the 70’s on an organic farm in Arkansas, where his love for music and food began early. His journey took him across the U.S., working in various kitchens and learning from different food cultures. Along the way, he dove deep into fermentation—studying traditional methods, experimenting with live cultures, and learning from chefs and makers who’ve been doing it for generations.
In 2009, he opened Superfood Bar in New Orleans, Louisiana—a restaurant uniquely focused on fermentation and using only the highest quality ingredients, in a city where great food, hot sauce and music are a way of life.
Eva, originally from Paris, brought her creative background and a passion for flavor and storytelling to the kitchen. Together, we kept traveling, cooking and learning.
Now in Berlin, we pour all that experience — from farm roots to global flavors — into every bottle and can't wait to share it with you! Our commitment to using the highest quality organic ingredients continues — today, everything but our peppers is organic, and we're working toward supporting organic pepper farming in Europe.
